1. Restart your computer into safe-mode.
2. Plug in the flash-drive to your computer.
3. Using the command prompt, format the flash-drive by issuing the following command:
format <drive letter="">:
where <drive letter=""> can be replaced with G, H etc. (whatever the drive letter your USB is occupying).
Example: Format G:
REASON: Windows was somewhat not allowing the USB drive to be formatted therefore the best option is either to restart into safe mode and format from there or format it via another OS (Linux, ipod etc.).
